When working at a company where layoffs have been made at least once and the employes know that another round is coming any day, if you show any emotion, be it crying or being angry, you will be on the list. I’m all for emotions but people have to learn to ask the person emoting if they really mean it the way they are taking it, without being scared.

Figured this out today.
Moved from Anchorage, AK to Reston, VA at 11, turned 12 shortly after arriving. Have pic of me in living room with no furniture. That was 1970.
Two years at Herndon Intermediate, four years at Herndon High School - 1972-1976. Lettered in swimming 4 years. In top 10 high school times for Virginia in 100 fly. Ooorah for strong shoulders.

Mom's Tips for Ear Blockage
These are my go to methods for clearing ears - based on years of swimmers’ ear, diving & flying in planes with no pressurization.
Put some cotton balls or something absorbent, in the bottom of cup, pour very hot water over them and then put cup over ear. The steam usually unblocks.
