All these years spent draining the church and praying meters (I got down to less than half) that I carry around with me are now back up to 3/4 full.
Perhaps that was the big disappointment - that I rejected their religion that is so important to them. Here we had a couple for whom religion and church played a huge roll in their lives, and I hated the whole thing.

Update on last Thursday.
This morning she either fainted or had another stroke. Unresponsive, sighing while breathing. Asleep.
Updating on Jan 30, 2013.
She stroked out at the hospital, while I was talking to her. I got her last words..yes Sara, they made me feel woooozy. Then she went limp. She never regained consciousness.

As you may encounter someone like me who is grieving but functioning. Sometimes all it takes is a touch on the arm and saying, I’m so sorry.
Time out - Xanax time. 2nd of the day. I made it from 6:30 to now with only one.
Made it through and enjoyed seeing the kids. “So is your mom dead yet?” from the 8 year old.
